Melanie Penera
Certified makeup artist Melanie Penera’s love for makeup started young when she was introduced to stage makeup at the Visual Performing Art academy located in the suburbs of Chicago. Her love of makeup soon grew into a passion that helped push her through schooling at The New Age Spa Institute to successfully earning her graduate certifications in makeup artistry, eyelash extensions and airbrush tanning.
Since then, Melanie’s Makeup Artistry has developed; helping numerous clients achieve beauty, awarded “Best of Thumbtack Award for Professional Makeup Artist” in to 2015 and again in 2016, gained opportunities in serving local organizations and charities such as: Cal’s Angels (2016, 2017), Miss Huntley Official Sponsor (2015-2017), Miss McHenry Official Sponsor (2016), “Look Good Feel Better” American Cancer Society (2017), and landing an internship through ABC 7 Chicago.
Even more recently Melanie’s Makeup Artistry has joined the prestigious The Knot, both magazine and website and is featured as The Knot’s top 6 sought after makeup artists in the area. Additionally, Melanie’s achievements have led to a nomination to The Knot’s Best of Bridal Award 2017.
Melanie’s Makeup Artistry specializes in wedding makeup, proms, special occasions, special effects, and corrective camouflage makeup. Her work can be done either on site or in the privacy of a studio. She is highly skilled with an airbrush machine to give you the ultimate flawless look clients dream of.
